The L.A. Yankee

Let’s get acquainted. You’re probably wondering what an“L.A. Yankee” is. Allow me to explain. It’s the moniker I’ve adopted since leaving my home on  Lake Erie’s shore to retire to the Gulf shore of lower Alabama. I avoid using adjectives like “tropical” and “paradise” to describe my adopted town. To be honest, it’s getting a bit crowded down here.

That’s me and my husband in the top left photo. The upper right pic is the view from our deck in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Yes, while summer vacationers are beating a path to my beach, we’re off to wine country.

I‘ll be sharing my thoughts on a variety of interests, but you won’t find angst in any form – political, religious or social. Not because these things don’t touch my life, but my purpose here is to focus on what makes my heart sing.

I’m a work in progress, striving to be present in the moment, to find spirit near at hand, to trust intuition, to respect the natural interconnectedness of life, and to learn something new each day.
